Description
Schneider 65ka 2P AC Surge Protective Devices
The Schneider Electric 65KA 2P AC Surge Protective Devices are designed to provide protection for electrical and electronic equipment from transient overvoltage events caused by lightning strikes, power utility switching, or other sources of voltage surges. These surge protective devices (SPDs) are specifically tailored for use in alternating current (AC) applications, offering robust protection for sensitive equipment such as HVAC systems, industrial machinery, and other AC power sources.
With a high surge capacity of 65KA (kiloamperes), these SPDs offer reliable protection against large voltage surges that can potentially damage connected equipment. The 2P designation indicates that the devices have two poles, which allows them to protect both the live and neutral lines in an AC circuit.
Schneider Electric’s SPDs are built with advanced technology to ensure rapid response times to overvoltage events. This enables them to divert excess energy safely away from protected devices, helping to safeguard valuable equipment and minimize downtime due to electrical damage.
It’s important to remember that proper installation and regular maintenance of surge protective devices are essential for effective protection. Additionally, adherence to local electrical codes and standards is crucial when integrating SPDs into an AC power system.
In summary, the Schneider Electric 65KA 2P AC Surge Protective Devices offer dependable surge protection for AC applications while contributing significantly towards ensuring the reliability and longevity of connected electrical and electronic components.
This Acti9 iPRD8 surge arrester protects 2P installations. It allows quick replacement of damaged cartridges. The Imax maximum discharge current is 8kA .The In nominal discharge current is 2.5kA. The iPRD8r ensures secondary protection of loads to be protected and is placed in cascade with the incoming surge arresters. This surge arrester is required when the loads to be protected are at a distance of more than 10 m from the incoming surge arrester. The Uc maximum continuous operating voltage in common mode (between phase and earth) is 350VAC. The Up Voltage protection level in common mode (between phase and earth) is 1kV. The Ue rated operational voltage is 230VAC +/- 10%. The product colour is white (RAL9003).The dimensions are (W) 36mm x (H) 85mm x (D) 69mm. The weight is 216g. The degree of protection is IP20 and IP40 in modular enclosure. The operating temperature is -25°C to 60°C. The storage temperature is -40°C to 85°C. This product is compliant with EN 61643-11 and IEC 61643-11 standards.
